Sensors enable the collection of data in various vital sign monitoring applications which changes the way in which patients can be diagnosed and treated.  Instead of the traditional one or multiple in person visits to a medical facility, the patient can be monitored by their doctor in real-time and remotely. In some cases, patients could even be treated offsite since their healthcare professionals could monitor and access their vital signs while treatment was being administered.
